Victoria Beckham After Makeover in New Very Short Pixie Hairstyle

Victoria Beckham (34) got sick of her extreme bob that every woman copied last year (and the year before that). So she chopped off all her hair to sport an ultra simple, wash-and-go pixie!

Then she washed out all the haircolor she had used for so long, returning to her perfect brown natural color.

Her fringe is parted with small, choppy, broken-up angled sections.

It's boyish but Posh uses enough eye makeup to pull it off.

The change was extreme but the new look is not. Her image changed from swank fashion mogul to very conservative businesswoman. Her wild pop star styling seems to be a thing of the past--perhaps for good.

This is a mature look that suits a woman like Mrs. Beckham in her mid-30s and other women, too--older and younger.

How do you get Victoria Beckham's new hairstyle?

Garren, the celebrity stylist from Garren New York who cut her hair, shared his tips on sporting the new 'do in OK magazine (February 23) just a few days after the above photo was taken.

"Sweep the hair forward from the crown to give it a hip, modern feel. The pixie look is for a woman who feels positive about herself and has a signature style. Keep things feminine and soft by dressing simply with a chic and sexy style. Add delicate touches like sparkly stud earrings and sheer pink lip gloss.

"Have fun experimenting with texture and product. Since you can't hide behind long hair, you'll need to play up your assets with makeup--especially your eyes. Those with curly, frizzy hair should keep the pixie very short and use pomade or gel to lock it down.

"See your stylist every four weeks to maintain. If you're creative, get a trim every two months; that gives time for it to morph into another look while keeping the style fresh. Using a headband will hold hair in place and give it a more feminine touch.

"To dress up your pixie for the evening, wear a barette with rhinestones--part the hair to the side and pin the fringe back. Always use the end of your eyebrows as a guideline when pinning back your pixie."
