Meredith Baxter (63) was out promoting her latest project yesterday with this very short hairstyle. It looks a little sun-beaten and stiff or dried out by beach winds. The 45-degree-angled fringe is a small but long tuft that falls dead center. Layers give it extra height and visual appeal. Easygoing and not too demanding for styling every day, it has a few flips sprinkled here and there.

Florence LaRue (67) is the kind of woman who can add sunshine to any cloudy day. She has a beautiful disposition enhanced by her crowning glory. She cut off about three or four inches to get this medium hairstyle with about a third bangs. Florence has also lightened it to a chocolate brown and added wavy texture. She looks cute!

Kiran Chetry (36) doesn't have a haircut that does her justice. Her forehead has a good proportional height for her face, but, let's be honest, it's broad. This cut unfortunately makes it look even more so. Why draw attention to your least enviable attribute? At a minumum she should have some kind of bangs at the sides. The length isn't helping her much, either. She could limit it to her chin or grow it out a few inches. Now it falls on her shoulders and looks blah. Super thin highlights add little value to thick tresses; they are great on fine hair. Layering everywhere would help shed the weight and do something with this shapeless, sub-par cut. (Courtesy CNN)

Kiran could try a bob like her colleague Randi Kaye's as this Photoshop makeover illustrates.
