In 2006 some celebrities, including Mandy Moore, bucked the tradition of very formal hairstyles at special Hollywood events, such as classic updos. They went in the opposite direction and wore simple ponytail hairstyles.

Mandy had very dark hair at the American Dreamz movie premiere in LA which virtually matched the color of her one-shoulder conservative black evening dress.
