Hilary Duff's new haircolors in April 2008. Looks like a mixture of ash blonde, dirty blonde, a very light caramel, strawberry blonde streaks, and maybe one or two other colors. Nice, isn't it? The difference in streak thickness is a very good idea; the first two from the front going back are thicker (less blended) than the next two. What also makes this makeover look so pretty is it's "all over" coloring.

Q. How can you tell if a haircolor is right for your skin tone?
A. If you look weirdly tired, advised Glamour magazine (Oct. 2005), or need more blush than usual, you've got the wrong hue.
"With the right color," explained colorist Sharon Dorram-Krause of the John Frieda Salon in New York City, "you'll need less makeup and may even look tan."
Another tip: take a childhood photo to the salon. "The color you had when you were five is probably perfect. Ask your colorist to weave that tone into your hair as highlights."

Straight red hair in a gorgeous deep shade. It's a good example of how nailing the crown makes all the difference. The added color plays off the base color everywhere beautifully. It looks like she has subtle highlights in many places.
Multi-colored hair. What have we got there? Red, yellow, blue, turquoise, purple, and bright green. Not sure when you'd wear this but if you're daring enough to try it, you'll probably think of something. Potential hair color idea for punks.
