Beauty and fashion magazine Marie Claire once a year puts its spotlight on hair. Mandy Moore was the covergirl for the special annual issue in '04. The natural brunette graced the cover in beautiful long layered hair.

Mandy has straight gorgeously thick dark hair, and it was lightened a little for her covershot. The layering on this hairstyle makes the most of her hair's natural volume and makes it even fuller and slightly more chunky.

The structure is quite evenly divided into about three main levels of layers (thirds), and with some subtle highlighting creates a great design that makes her look fantastic.
