Charlize Theron with Very Short Haircut in The Astronaut's Wife
Rarely does an actress get all her hair snipped off for a movie. Natalie Portman did it for a Star Wars film, and ten years ago Charlize Theron went ultra short for her space movie. In one of her early dramatic roles she played Jillian Armacost in The Astronaut's Wife.
This particular low-lit movie still captures her mood better than the hairstyle itself which is actually surprisingly sexy on the blonde model. Charlize, however, as you can see from the sidebar images, hasn't returned to this extreme length even though it was flattering. As the movie progresses you get more used to it and begin to like it a lot.
