Catherine Zeta Jones with Classic Retro Bob Hairstyle in Chicago

Catherine Zeta Jones sacrificed her famous luxury long hair for the role of Velma Kelly in the smash hit musical, Chicago, which won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Catherine had a bob haircut to fit the 1920s hairstyling trend. The short bob hairstyle with good moderate bangs (not too short or too long) was cut to a length that draws attention to her lips.

Bob hairstyles were popular in the 1920s and into the 1930s, too. In 2007 they have once again become a popular American hair trend (see sidebar link).
