The lovely blond star wore her hair down in an easy mostly straight style with a big soft wave.

According to celebrity news show Entertainment Tonight, Ali did her own hair for the glamorous night as part of the Dove Beauty Campaign.

"In Hollywood, we have this team of stylists that gets us ready -- cut, colored and primped," Larter said. "It's kind of an unrealistic look for every day. So I'm going to use myself as an example, take a stand and 'go real' to the Emmys!"

Simple hair can still look fine, as these photos of Ali show, especially when you have a knockout red satin evening gown.

Many girls say they get a professional hairstylist to do their hair for prom, if not a team of stylists, but it isn't always necessary.
