Lindsay chose an elegant black-and-white evening look that she coordinated nicely. With her ribbed white chiffon evening dress, the teen star carried a small black satin bag and wore fancy black-and-white pumps.

If you want a highly structured hairstyle for prom, the French Twist is definitely one formal updo hair design you can count on to stay in position for the entire prom night (if you use enough bobby pins).

This traditional elegant styling of hair and clothes may look too mature for some teens, so it might be best for girls going to senior prom versus junior prom. (Lindsay was about 19 in these pictures.)
