Not the Latest But Some of the Greatest

Kelly Clarkson made a red carpet appearance with a glamorous long curly down hairstyle that totally rocks. It is highlighted at the fringe with a thick blond piece and a little in other sections on the sides, too. Voluminous and fabulous!

Mena Suvari with a cute half updo hairstyle. Up styles which are piecey are not that common but this look is really pretty, because the texture is under control. It looks slightly messy but still formal.

Petra Nemcova with a cute and feminine formal down style. If you like to wear your hair down, and a lot of teens do, adding a flower enhances your look by making it prettier and more romantic. Hair flowers are perfect for the prom atmosphere. Petra glams it up a notch by choosing an eye makeup color to match her flower color.

Samantha Shelton with cute very curly bob. What is the cutest short hairstyle for prom you could wear? Is this it? It's an adorable style created with thick bands of hair which are flattened and curled as well as much thinner strands that are just curled. That's a hot combination which borrows an element of popular wedding hair design. The texture of this girl's style is perfect; it looks fancy but has no frizz. If you forget about her roots showing, it's actually a really nice formal hair design. It's a fun and fabulous new interpretation of the classic French Twist. This upsweep hairstyle adds lots of fancy cute curls to the top of the Twist, making it look cool, original, and elegant. Great updo for a special occasion like prom.

Another way to dress up a French Twist and put your own style on it is with a flower. This young lady covers up the French Twist seam with a red rose floral arrangement. It's bold and unique but also quite inspired.

You can also wear your basic Twist in less dramatic style with a few hair ornaments. It is a neat and simple updo accessorized with a touch of elegance. Notice how the ornament is long and thin and how that mirrors the seam.

Finally, here is a pic of the basic FT that has no accessories. This young lady's seam is fairly neat but you can actually make it even more neat and more polished looking if you want. She also has a few loose thin strands on the sides, too.
