"Lindsay Lohan vows to return to her trademark red-headed glory," reported World Entertainment News Network on June 26, 2005, "and insists she only went blonde to look like Meryl Streep.

"The formerly flame-haired teen star plays Streep's daughter in the upcoming movie Prairie Home Companion and was determined to hit the bleach bottle in order to resemble her on-screen mother.

"She says, 'Meryl Streep plays my mother in it, so the blonde hair is a good way for me to get into my character and just change a bit. My hair will be back to red eventually.' "
